You want to build something that lasts.

Authority. Income. Leverage.

But you're stuck choosing between a hundred different actions. Content. Outreach. Offers. Systems. Relationships.

Which one actually compounds?

Here's what I've learned building multiple things from zero: Most actions feel productive but don't build position. They generate activity without creating leverage.

Only a few actions compound over time. They work for you after you do them. They make tomorrow easier than today.

The Compound Action Test

Before doing anything today, ask one question:

"Will doing this once make it easier to do something valuable in the future?"

If yes, it compounds. If no, it's just work.

Examples that compound:

  • Having a conversation with someone in your field (builds relationship that can refer you for years)

  • Publishing content that's searchable (works for you 24/7)

  • Building a template you can reuse (reduces future effort)

  • Creating a system that runs without you (buys back your time)

Examples that don't compound:

  • Posting content that disappears in 24 hours (unless it builds to something permanent)

  • Attending networking events with no follow-up (connection without relationship)

  • Doing custom work that can't be repeated (trading time for money with no leverage)

  • Chasing trends that won't matter next month (short-term attention, no position)

The difference? Compound actions create assets. Non-compound actions create activity.

The New Framework for Enterprise Voice AI

Enterprise teams are automating more calls than ever — but without a consistent framework, deployments become unpredictable, costly, and slow to scale.

The BELL Framework introduces a structured way to design, test, launch, and improve Voice AI agents with reliability.

Get the guide enterprises are now using to de-risk voice automation and accelerate deployment.

Your One Action Today

Pick one thing from this list. Do it today. It will pay off for months.

Option 1: Have one real conversation

Reach out to someone you want to learn from or work with. Not networking. Not pitching. Just talk.

Ask about their work. Share what you're building. Be helpful if you can.

That conversation could lead to referrals, collaborations, or insights you use for years.

Option 2: Publish one piece of searchable content

Write something people will search for in 6 months. A framework. A guide. A clear take on a common problem.

Make it findable. Make it valuable. It works for you while you sleep.

Option 3: Build one template or system

Create something you'll use repeatedly. An email sequence. A content framework. A client onboarding process.

Do it once. Use it forever.

Option 4: Make one introduction

Connect two people who should know each other. No ask. No agenda. Just genuine value.

They'll remember you made it happen. That compounds into trust and reciprocity later.

What Compounds in Week 11

This week, you learned:

  • How to recognize credibility in others (Monday)

  • How to outlast competition through patience (Tuesday)

  • How to avoid cognitive traps in decision-making (Thursday)

Now take one action that compounds those insights:

Apply Monday's lesson: Have a conversation with someone who admits "I don't know" freely. Learn from them.

Apply Tuesday's lesson: Commit to one activity you'll do consistently for 6 months, even if results are slow.

Apply Thursday's lesson: Make one significant decision using the Decision Filter. Document it.

Any of these actions compound. Pick one. Do it today.

Tomorrow: The turning point. When information becomes transformation, and what changes when you cross that line.

Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.

Read our guide to find out why growth marketers should make sure CTV is part of their 2026 media mix.
