Your Week 3 Influence Checklist
This week you learned the psychology of getting yes. Here's your implementation checklist:
Understand that people reject feelings, not ideas
Lower threat before making any ask
Align requests with the other person's identity
Shrink initial commitments to reduce resistance
Provide safe exits (paradoxically increases commitment)
Use "because" to satisfy the brain's need for reason
Inoculate against objections before they're raised
Reframe default to make inaction feel risky
Make the ask you've been avoiding

The One Thing to Remember
Influence isn't about having power. It's about understanding how decisions are made.
Every "no" you've received was an emotional response, not a logical one. When you learn to address the emotional blockers, threat, effort, and identity, the logic takes care of itself.
The Influence System works because it treats people as humans with fears and self-images, not as robots waiting to be convinced by better arguments.
